About Hammer & Anvil

We are an immersive storytelling studio dedicated to helping museums inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and spark meaningful learning. We partner with institutions that also believe in the power of education and shared wonder to deliver accessible experiences that bring science, history, and culture to life for every visitor.

We believe storytelling is one of the most powerful tools for learning. When visitors feel transported into new worlds—whether ancient seas, distant planets, or unseen ecosystems—understanding becomes something they can feel, not just observe.

We support museums as essential spaces for exploration and connection. Our goal is to help museum teams engage audiences of all ages through accessible, immersive, virtual reality experiences that reinforce their learning mission.

By blending cinematic craft, scientific expertise, and educational design, we create experiences that build curiosity, emotional resonance, and long-lasting understanding.

Who We Serve

Institutions We Support

We collaborate with organizations committed to public education and inquiry, including:

  • Science centres

  • Natural history museums

  • Discovery centres

  • Cultural and history museums

  • Educational institutions

Across these institutions, we consistently hear the same needs:

  • Exhibits that align with educational outcomes

  • Accessible experiences that welcome diverse audiences

  • Tools that lighten staff workload, not add to it

  • Installations that work within existing gallery footprints

  • Programming that brings visitors back again and again

What They Need

Both our films and our turnkey ALICE theater are built around supporting these priorities.

What We Do

Original Immersive Films

Our films are developed with subject-matter experts, educators, and museum advisors to ensure accuracy, clarity, and emotional depth. Topics span paleontology, ocean science, history, geology, space exploration, physics, microbiology, and more.

Each title is designed as a complete, museum-ready exhibit that encourages repeat and more frequent visits through fresh annual programming. Every film is crafted to spark wonder, provoke thought, and leave visitors feeling more connected to the world around them.

ALICE — Our Shared Immersive Theater

ALICE is a seated, accessible immersive theater designed specifically for museums. It creates a shared storytelling environment that fits naturally into existing spaces without renovation.

With one-button operation, Dolby Atmos–quality sound, synchronized viewing, and full installation and support, ALICE gives museums an effortless way to deliver powerful, long-lasting learning experiences.

What Makes Us Different

Our work blends cinematic storytelling with real science, resulting in experiences that feel both emotionally compelling and educationally grounded. We design films to function as full exhibits, prioritizing impactful experiences and repeatable value.

Immersive Innovation

Effortless Partnership

We approach every installation as a collaboration. Our team manages setup, training, maintenance, and ongoing support, allowing museum staff to focus on what they do best: engaging visitors. We also provide marketing assets to simplify exhibit promotion, if needed.

Engaging and Accessible Education

Accessibility informs every choice we make.

  • Seated environments support visitors with varied mobility levels

  • Smooth, grounded visuals minimize motion sickness

  • Clear narration and sensory-conscious pacing welcome diverse learners

Every experience is built to feel comfortable, inclusive, and memorable. We believe immersive technology only matters if everyone can enjoy it.

Our Story

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Hammer & Anvil represents the act of shaping raw ideas into something strong, meaningful, and lasting. It reflects our blend of craft, creativity, and purpose, inspired by both the artistry of cinema and the curiosity that drives scientific discovery.

Our Creative Philosophy

Our work begins with story, not technology. We believe the emotional and educational impact of a narrative comes first, and the tools follow. Every film is built through close collaboration with scientists, historians, and educators to ensure accuracy and depth.

We create experiences that resonate long after the headset comes off, reminding visitors why museums matter and why shared learning experiences have the power to transform.
